How do I play music on my stereo system using my smartphone?

The stereo system is by Toshiba but it is really old and only plays CD's or radio stations. I really don't want to make CD's right now and it would be convenient if I could just connect my phone. I tried using an aux through the "phono" input but it did not work, I will be trying RCA male Y

N892: The simplest way is through an FM transmitter. On your stereo, the best way is with an FM modulator. Of course you can change your stereo to an upgraded one, but that was not the question. If you have a phono input and you're sure that's what it is, get an RCA to TRS jack cord and plug that to your phone's headphone output. Adjust the volume from the phone to play without distortion. You can actually buy it at Radio Shack, but might find at Walgreens for a lower price.

The simplest solution is purchasing an FM transmitter made for this purpose. It broadcast your smartphone's audio signal as an FM radio station and you play it using your radio. Just about every place that sells electronics carries them including Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc, etc, etc. Here; http://www.bestbuy.com/site/car-ipod-mp3-connections/mp3-car-fm-transmitters/abcat0307012.c?id=abcat0307012

connect it with bluetooth if your stereo has that option. or get an aux cord and connect that to ur phone and the stereo
Millie:
Either bluetooth or get an AUX cord 🙂
Scott:
