How to book Amtrak tickets with stops?

I want to leave from Burlington, IA and get to Minneapolis, MN but there no direct routes between the two. I would have to go from Burlington to Chicago, then go from Chicago to Minneapolis. I can not find any way on their website to do this, but I was wondering if there is third-party site where I can find out

There is only one train each day from Burlington, IA (BRL) to Chicago, IL. It is the California Zephyr, Amtrak train #6. It leaves BRL (Burlington) at 10:36 a.m. and arrives at Union Station in Chicago (CHI) at 2:50pm.

The only trains from Chicago, IL to St. Paul / Minneapolis, MN (MSP) are the Empire Builder trains. They are scheduled to leave Chicago, IL – Union Station (CHI) at 2:15 p.m. and arrive in St. Paul / Minneapolis, MN (MSP) at 10:50 p.m.

Because the train from Burlington, IA (BRL) arrives in Chicago after the train to St. Paul / Minneapolis, MN (MSP) leaves Chicago, you can't take both trains on the same day.

You will have to book the California Zephyr, Amtrak train #6, from Burlington, IA (BRL) to Chicago, IL, and the Empire Builder from Chicago, IL to St. Paul / Minneapolis, MN (MSP), for different days.

You will have to stay overnight in Chicago, at your own expense.

You might want to consider taking an airplane. It could be cheaper, and would certainly be faster.

If you look on the Amtrak website you will find a place for Contact us.

There you will find a PHONE Number. It connects you to HUMANS that will help you book your travel.
