How would someone in a wheelchair get down to the subway?

I am newly in a wheelchair and heading to Toronto when I am there one of my main ways of getting around will be through the subway but I'm not sure if there is a way to get down to it other than the stairs any idea?

Many of the stations have elevators. Check the TTC subway route pages for details, and call Lift Line at 416-539-LIFT (5438) before you travel.

There is often an elevator or an inclined plane for this purpose.

As far as I know they have elevators at the sides after you pass the gate thing. They will definitely have a way for a wheel chair to get down, I wouldn't worry.
