I was driving and I needed to make a lane change tobut I didn't realize how close I was to the car behind me. the car behind me started following me and when I pulled into a plaza to park the guy followed me in and started yelling at me telling me to go f*** myself and demanding an apology. I was too in shock
I was driving and I needed to make a lane change tobut I didn't realize how close I was to the car behind me. the car behind me started following me and when I pulled into a plaza to park the guy followed me in and started yelling at me telling me to go f*** myself and demanding an apology. I was too in shock to say anything and he kept swearing at me with my 8 year old sister in the car. Now I just feel so guilty and stupid 🙁 I'm 17 and I've had my license for 6 months and have always been a careful driver.
I don't think this is really a question I just need to rant and get some advice I guess.
baby spice: That's what can happen when you cut someone up. Be thankful he didn't drag you out of the car and beat you up. Or worse. People have been shot over stuff like that.
You changed lanes too close to the car in the other lane. Entirely your fault. Be more considerate in future.
Don't feel bad, you're still learning! People make mistakes. Try not to beat yourself up about it, there are going to be bigger problems in bigger situations and you'll forget all about that event as you get older. Remember this, don't be quick to judge, seeing as you can never truly know a man's(as in human being) heart. You never know what other people are going through, so the best thing you can do is forgive and forget! Hope I helped even a little, take care 🙂
The guy who yelled at you is an assh. He talked loud, and swore in front of a little kid.
Most people would have understood that you made a mistake, but this guy followed you for no reason. He lose his temper easy. I met worst people on the street. It is the reason why road rages happen. Don't let people like him make you feel bad. I think of them as wife/girlfriend beaters. Know your mistake and drive more careful next time.
Don't feel too bad, it was an honest mistake, it happens to everyone. The other guy was a jerk for shouting at you like that. Just be more careful in the future, and move on.
Well, you should feel guilty, but not forever. The important thing is that nobody was hurt, and you learned something (right?). Try not to let it happen again. – Good Luck.
It's okay, everyone makes mistakes driving. Don't feel bad, just try not to do it again

ignore what the other answers tell you – you should feel guilty !!! in your Q you state "I didn't realize how close I was to the car behind me" and " have always been a careful driver"……………..apparently you are not careful enough…………you need to be more careful, take your time, and look in ALL directions before making any move with your vehicle
