If you are driving a left hand drive car, DON'T use your left foot to brake – much easier and you won't tend to drag the brakes while accelerating. More coast less brake try to us the accelerator for slowing before braking (let off on it and coast a bit before applying the brakes
Danny:
If you driving a right hand drive car, make sure that your left foot is in clutch and right foot use for accelerating and braking. Before brake slow down the speed of car and hold on clutch fully and slowly use right foot for braking.
oldprof:
Remember, in a rear ender, the driver who rear ends is almost always found to be at fault. Also remember that unless you have ABS, you should pump your brakes so the tires don't lock and get into a skid.
redd headd:
yes slowly press on the brakes and slow down before you have to jam them on. you worry about the car you will hit, not the one behind you.
Steve S:
look ahead and take your foot off the gas giving yourself plenty of time to slow down before you need to brake.
?:
Dont drive
