Is 8 ohms louder than 2 ohms?

Subwoofer wise

Best Answer:

Jesus: The lower the ohm the more power

Other answer:

Jesus:
The lower the ohms, the more current the amp will draw. Power is a product of current times voltage. Loudness is a perception which cannot be measured in OHMS. Driving a speaker with more power often causes it to give higher sound pressure levels, but the common conception people have is more loudness= more bass. Before experimenting with lower impedance, make sure the amp and tolerate the current increase and that the increased demand for current actually can be met by the power supply.
Carl:
ohm is value of resistance not acoustic pressure.
