Is it hard to get a job at Amtrak?

Looking to become a Conductor. I've heard they make like $25-30 an hour! I kind of need a job quickly also.

Other answer:

In your case, more like impossible. Conductor is not an entry-level job. You need to start in a much lower-level position, usually on a freight railroad, perhaps doing maintenance or operating signals and switches. Even commuter railroads look for someone with railroad experience and/or a Master's degree.
Go to the Amtrak website. At the bottom click on "careers." Then search for "Passenger Conductor Trainee." That is the entry level position. There are jobs available. There are also other jobs. Then you can apply one line.

You may well need to relocate to a fairly distant place.

Yes, it is quite easy. All you have to do is go to the Amtrak website and click on the "Careers" button and you can do what you need there.

Good Luck To You!:)

You might have gone or had a contact with bus stations for job but it would be better if you search in web sites
