Some models better than others and other models really bad?

Alexis: The SUVs and Jeeps that were on the market when people started using them as daily drivers were particularly prone to rollover: narrow track and high center of gravity will do that. People bought them, tried to drive them as if they were normal sedans, and flipped them.

But those were things like the Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7, and the smaller Bronco (Ford) and Blazer (GM/Chevy). Jeeps and SUVs from the 1990s and later are much better / safer. (But don't expect them to corner as well as a Porsche, or even a Toyota.)

Other answer:

Alexis:
It's true because SUV's are top heavy, so they can tip easier than a car. I do not know if Jeeps are worse than other SUVs.
Dave:
SUVs score very very good in accidents. Better than most if not all cars. older jeeps and SUVs especially ones that have been lifted are top heavy and though still do well in forward accidents they can rollover from a very high speed turns. If you drive responsibly its never something you will have to worry about.
Goldfly252000:
What is a shorter SUV? I mean to mean a shorter jeep would be a JEEP where the longer one is like the Cherokee(which is more of an SUV). Yes they are more prone to rollovers, although that's still not common.
Sean:
Compared to the typical automobile, yes. Because their center-of-gravity is higher than a traditional car, they are more prone to tipping over. However, to tip one over, you have to be going at least highway speeds and turning dangerously sharp at those speeds.
Dimo J:
Eh… Regular cars are unsafe compared with sport cars.

Actually, *NO* vehicle is unsafe — drivers are. If you compensate for the vehicle, no car is unsafe.
