Okay so I got my license today but I'm terrified to drive alone, I just finished driving school and still make mistakes every once in awhile I'm just really nervous I'm gonna crash and kill myself or someone. Please help! Any advice I'm so scared I'm gonna die in the car 🙁 I've only driven for about 12-16 hours in the car total any tips? I have to drive on the highway to get to work tomorrow and I'm about to cry.

driving on the freeway is really the safest place to drive, im 24 still no license but i can tell by seeing my dad/brother drive. Plus bikes are not allowed on freeways which makes it easier

It's normal to be scared when you first start driving alone as you've never been alone and in charge of a vehicle before.
When I first started driving alone, I used to take my car out for drives around the block during quieter traffic periods and built up to driving further and also at different times of day – pretty soon, I wasn't bothered about driving alone at all.
When you drive to work, plan your route beforehand and imagine yourself driving there safely and when it's time to do it for real, leave a LOT earlier to give yourself time to stop and breathe if you feel too panicky and to also give you plenty of time with regards to traffic flow, lights etc and just breathe calmly as you drive and don't panic. If someone gets too close to you, there's nothing wrong with pulling over when it's safe to do so and let them pass you and if you make a minor mistake, don't obsess over it – all drivers make minor mistakes – they only become serious if you obsess over them and that obsession makes you lose concentration.
Ann:
Do not drive on the highway to get to work. Take slower side roads, just leave earlier. Get used to driving before you have to drive during rush hours on the freeway.

Yeah, you get the kind of feeling when you get used to the instructor being with you for all that time, don't drive too speed and stay focused read the signs and be careful, try remembering and memorising the roads as well this will make it much easier for you to avoid mistakes later on as your already used to it…
God:
Brilliant idea! Head onto the freeway. Just do whatever to get onto the freeway! Even having a 700,000 metric tonne starship use a tractor beam to fly you there!
