I work for uber and when I took toll lanes uber paid me as well as paying for the drive obviously and I thought the toll was automatically paid and this concluded to me getting 72 tickets adding to 8000 to pay and to reregister car (in CA) and I can t pay for that if I can t work for uber and I can t work for uber unless I re register my car do u know if a lawyer i can get in contact with about making payments so I can pay to have my car re registered in CA thus making it possible to get income so I can pay these tickets but again they were paid to me through uber when I was on rides however they weren t immediately paid to the fast Trak I apparently had to go and physically do this myself I m clearly stressing because how do they expect me to be able to pay this without re registering my car which is my job!?

you have 2 different issues (1) the tickets which have nothing to do with the DMV…the fastrak company is the one who sends out the citations, so you can maybe (??) make some kind of payment arrangements with them…for the registration – don't know what you refer to as "reregister"…is your vehicle registered outside of CA or are you late with paying the registration or ?? no lawyer can help you AND even if one could, you would have the added expense ( several thousand $$ )
Been There, Done That.:
OK, it must have taken 6 mo to a year to run up 72 violations, and in all that time, they never sent a notice of violation?????? They just one day out of the blue mailed you 72 violation notices??????

Something smells with this story IMO.

There is no help anyone here can do. Pay the fines. That is your only choice. Uber paid you and I assume they paid you the cost for each passage. Is there an option to go to court and ask for a reduction?
efflandt:
If Uber did not give you a FastTrak device and was reimbursing you for tolls, didn't it dawn on you that maybe you were supposed to take care of paying the tolls initially?
chasanferd:
Well thanks for pointing the obvious out and not answering lol. If you can't help why must you respond? I'm beating myself up enough myself thank u very much and good day
