Trying to refit a tank on a kawasaki gpz 500s motorcycle. -Help!?

Know what to do, but unfortunately, one of the two bolts on the underside of the tank, connecting it to the fairing sheared.

i know i need plyers to get the damned thing out,
unsure how to find out what the bolt is / it s size.

& also, where do i find such a thing? hardware store?

Bring the second bolt with you to a Kawasaki dealer for them to match it up with a new one.

Looks like it might be a M8x30

Take it out and try to match it at a hardware store. You may have to take it to a kawasaki dealership to match it.

M8 bolts usually have a 12mnm or 13mm head size

How about taking the good one to get another. They will have one to look at and measure?
