The next time you encounter the police you would be arrested and end up paying the ticket plus interest. There is another option though. You have the right to contest the ticket in court. You probably won't get out of this one entirely, but if you explain your situation to the judge they might lower the fine or let you make monthly payments on it until it is paid off.
olderwiser100a:
they will issue a bench warrant for your arrest. they won't come after you, they really don't need to. you will tagged for the ticket when you try to renew your drivers license, and the owner of the vehicle you were in will get tagged when they renew the license plate.
remoserjr107:
It's on your record,
You will eventually have to pay with fines and penalties….!!
Dr. Stephanie:
You'll have it on record and if you ever get stopped again, for ANYTHING, you would risk being arrested for same.
Mr.357:
The next time you have an interaction with the police, you will be hauled to jail (arrested).
?:
You will just be fined.
