Which bike should I buy of these two?

Okay so just passed my cbt and looking to get a bike, am stuck between a Honda cbf 125 and a Yamaha yzr125
The Honda cbf is £1900 with around 4500 miles and the Yamaha is £2500 with 12,000 miles? They are both from a dealership and are in excellent condition etc, but would the Yamaha hold up worse than the cbf?

Would love a yzr as I've heard it's a better bike but unsure if after 10k miles it would be as reliable as the CBF? Any thoughts? Could alternatively get a cheaper bike through auto trader or gumtree however there's no guarantee and haven't used either before

Guy127: 600 quid is 600 quid and will pay your insurance (at least part of it). Reliability should not be a problem for either if they have a service history. The Honda costs less to service and is a lower insurance group – which implies that is less frequently stolen. But if you want the Yamaha then they are a "better" bike (everything is relative) and they do look slightly more like a grown-up sports bike.

Been riding/racing/wrenching Yamaha bikes for nearly 40 years so they must be fairly decent bikes.LOL!

That aside- any motorcycle can be abused/ill-maintained so one versus another is little to compare the two.
12K is nothing if well maintained but without knowing the Year of each bike it's hard to give any great advice.

Go test ride both bikes, without being there it's dealer's choice. Wish you Aces.

Timbo is here:
There is nothing to choose between those 2 bikes other than personal preference.
Joe:
Buy the Honda, it's a no brainer.
